Summer 2023 Early Bird Vegetable Shares Available at 2022 Price

Summer 2023 CSA shares are available now. Vegetable shares for the summer season are priced the same as 2022. And early bird pricing is good through February 17, 2023.

Here’s the order form for more information. You may use the form if paying by check and mailing payment. To assure you get early bird pricing, please mail your order and check by Monday, February 13. Regular pricing begins Saturday, February 18 through the start of the season on May 3.

You may also order online. Credit cards or electronic checks are accepted. Early bird pricing is good through Friday, February 17 at 6:00 p.m.

Summer vegetable share deliveries begin Wednesday, May 3 and continue weekly through Wednesday, October 18, for 25 total vegetable share deliveries.

The CSA also has chicken shares (8 birds delivered over the summer), turkey share (Thanksgiving turkey delivered in early November), beef shares, lamb shares, and honey shares (8 pints over the summer, delivered once a month).

A partial share is good variety and quantity for 1 to 2 people; a full share works well for 4 to 5 people. Not sure about the quantity? Splitting a share with family or friends is a good way to start out.

Here’s a list of the items sent each week over a previous summer season for both partial shares and full shares.

The farmers send a newsletter with each delivery. We post those to the Fruitful Hills Facebook page. Reading the newsletters gives a good look at the farming practices used by the CSA farmers. In addition, each newsletter includes a description of the items in that week’s share, and a recipe using items in the share.

This is a summer vegetable full share from May of a previous summer season.

A full produce share from May 2021
