Winter 2023-2024 CSA shares are available now. Vegetable shares for the winter season are priced the same as 2022. Deliveries begin Wednesday, November 1.
You may order online. Credit cards or electronic checks are accepted. Or mail a check with the order form.
Winter vegetable share deliveries begin Wednesday, November 1 and continue every other week through Wednesday, April 17, for 12 total vegetable share deliveries.
The CSA also has lamb shares, and honey shares (6 pints over the winter, delivered once a month).
A partial share is good variety and quantity for 1 to 2 people; a full share works well for 4 to 5 people. Not sure about the quantity? Splitting a share with family or friends is a good way to start out.
Here’s a list of the items sent each delivery over a previous winter season for both partial shares and full shares.
The farmers send a newsletter with each delivery. We post those to the Fruitful Hills Facebook page. Reading the newsletters gives a good look at the farming practices used by the CSA farmers. In addition, each newsletter includes a description of the items in that week’s share, and a recipe using items in the share.
