We deliver to sites north of the river, downtown KCMO, Olathe, Overland Park, and Prairie Village. We also deliver for employees and clients of businesses in the Kansas City area as well. Please get in touch to discuss how we can set up a CSA benefit for your company.

Curious about the items in a vegetable share? Want to know how the farmers are doing? We post the delivery newsletter on Facebook.

Community Supported Agriculture means “subscribing” to local farms and farmers to share the bounty and the uncertainty.

Fruitful Hills has fed Kansas Citians for 14 years. We have a good track record for dealing with drought, storms, a devastating house fire, nasty insects, voracious raccoons, and seeds that just didn’t take.

If we didn’t have enough radishes for all shares, for example, we picked wild berries or supplemented with herbs or honey. We gave good value even when nature didn’t cooperate to fill our shares to perfection.

Subscribers didn’t go without, but unlike a grocery store, they did have to be flexible. In a CSA, everyone shares nature’s rewards along with her risks. You are not a consumer or a customer.

What You Can Expect with a Fruitful Hills Winter Season Subscription

Winter deliveries are every other week from November to April, with a wide variety of vegetables, soil-grown, local, and farmed using draft horses and organic practices.

Vegetables: Full/Partial Share
Nutrient-dense produce has the color, texture, and taste that only comes fresh-picked from local farms. We avoid synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.
A full share in the winter is about a bushel, enough to fill 2 large grocery totes, and good variety for 4 to 5 people. A partial share is good for 1 to 2 people, enough to fill a grocery tote.

Eggs: Enjoy eggs with deeply colored yolks from hens on pasture.

Raw Dairy Products: A la carte: Order by Friday before each delivery.
Grazed on organic pastures, Dutch Belted cows produce rich, creamy milk filled with flavor and nutrients.

Raw Goat’s Milk: A la carte and as available
Milk from goats that eat a smorgasbord of saplings, shrubs, wildflowers, and grasses.

Grass-fed Beef: (summer season only)  A la carte on selected dates and as available, or as a share, one large delivery, packaged and frozen. A share is 1/8th of a steer.
Grazing cattle yield beef with fat yellow in color, signifying increased nutrients and flavor. Includes steaks and roasts.

Honey: 1 pound pint jar, 6 deliveries:  Unprocessed, unfiltered, and unpasteurized local honey.
All of our products are raised without hormones or antibiotics.
